Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification on or before the closing date of application.

Technician Grade-I Signal	B.Sc / Diploma / Engineering qualification as prescribed in official notification.
Technician Grade-III	ITI / Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in relevant trade from recognized institute.

Candidates waiting for final examination results are not eligible to apply.

Age will be calculated as per the official notification. Reserved category candidates will receive upper age relaxation according to Government of India rules.

The examination fee is refundable (after applicable deductions) for eligible candidates who appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT), as per the official notification.

RRB Technician Salary 2026

RRB Technician posts offer an attractive salary package under the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC). Along with the basic pay, selected candidates receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Night Duty Allowance (where applicable), Medical Facilities, Railway Pass, Pension benefits and other government allowances.

The in-hand salary depends upon the posting location, applicable allowances and deductions. Employees also get annual increments and promotional opportunities as per Railway rules.

RRB Technician Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be conducted through multiple stages. Candidates must qualify every stage to move to the next phase.

3. Medical Examination
4. Final Merit List

There is no interview for RRB Technician recruitment. Final selection is based on CBT performance, document verification and medical fitness.
